Each player is an astronaut who is building rockets. An "assembly plant" circle is formed from six special cards, and then the astronaut pawns move along the circle choosing different actions. At each location the player can perform a particular task, such as: draw the face-up card there (cards show a rocket base, fuselage or tip in one of three different colors), add a part to a rocket, take fuel tokens, change direction of rotation, etc. Some rocket tips grant special privileges, and the first fuel that's taken is more valuable than the last. When fuel reserves are exhausted, the winner is determined by comparing the astronauts' completed rockets - most fuselages wins.

2–4120–600 min8.0
Quatre-Bras 1815: Last Eagles is the fourth game in the Eagles of France serie to be released in Q1 2019. More simulation of a Napoleonic battle rather than just a re-creation. At Quatre-Bras, Wellington's army arrived at the last minute to counter Ney's advancing troops. At the end of the day, the Anglo-Allied outnumbered the French and were able to counter attack. Several scenarios are available: Quatre-bras historical, Quatre-bras with variable reinforcements (what if D'Erlon or Uxbridge had arrived?), and two other what if scenarios: Ney's morning attack, Wellington already concentrated versus Ney This game will link up with Ligny 1815: Last Eagles to provide a full campaign experience with interaction between both battles. Using hidden units with fog of war and variable reinforcements, the players will be as close as possible to the real life situation. Where are the French attacking? When exactly my reinforcements will arrive? -description from designer

Cat Between Us

(Self-Published) · 2024

BGG #6594
2–615–40 min7.0
Do you understand what the cat wants? Try to get as close to the cat as possible without passing it by. Each round in Cat Between Us, you first draw a card from the deck, then place the cat token on the numbered space on the track matching the tiny number on the card. Shuffle the deck, then deal all players their current hand size. Starting with the player who won the previous round, players take turns playing one card at a time under the six items laid out on the table until each item has two cards below it. The sum of these two cards is the value of this item. Each player sums the value of each item remaining in their hand to determine where they should place their token on the track. Whoever is closest to the cat without passing it has won the round; multiple winners are possible. (If all players have passed the cat, whoever passed it least wins.) Winners move their personal token forward on their playing card, which indicates how many rounds they have won and how many cards they receive. Each time you win, you start the round with one more card in hand, making your next victory harder! Whoever first wins three rounds wins the game.

Capo dei Capi

Dr. Finn's Games · 2013

BGG #6597
220 min6.7
It is prohibition in New York City. Rival gangs of mobsters use their influence to bribe politicians, run casinos, bootleg liquor, and gain the favor of corrupt policemen. In Capo Dei Capi, players compete to decide who will be the "boss of all bosses." Capo Dei Capi is a 2-player dice game that requires players to "push their luck" each turn as they make tactical area control decisions. It is designed to be a very quick filler game (10-15 minutes) that still demands a certain level of skill and tactical decision-making. Yet, because dice rolls can be unexpected, players must be prepared to adapt and change their plans at the drop of a die.
